The distillers are a group of Mount Vernon employees -- historians, historic trades interpreters, archaeologists, and educators -- who have banded together under the direction of master distiller, Dave Pickerell (aka "the Boss"), to reproduce the "spirituous liquors" that were made at the Mount Vernon distillery more than 200 years ago.
